I hope Joe Martin and Leanne Wintle will get the message loud and clear that this building will not make a meaningful contribution to the Devonport community ( where they also live and). All those thinking of listing or buying property with the agency he works for should vote with their feet on this one. How can you make a living by trading of the heritage reputation of our suburb, and then turn around and demolish this charming building? Shame indeed.
So its Joe, Joe Martin that is and his partner in crime, Lianne Wintle that have the gall to shit in their own nest. I also hear that Lianne Wintle does`nt like the flak her carpet-bagging companion is rightly getting from the people opposed to the concrete bunker they intend to build. If you crap in your own nest you are bound to get smeared, get it on you and start to smell, then you will be shunned. Cant you take the heat because its going to get a lot warmer yet. What you propose to build on Vauxhall Road has no redeeming architectural features. It is a rectangular box on a rectangular site that gives nothing to the surrounding area. There`s plenty of outer Auckland Industrial areas that would welcome your eye-sore. Why don`t you build something low level, that is sympathetic to the area. The answer to that is there is not enough money in it for you and you don`t care. You are looking at what you can profit out of it and nothing else. In another time we would have tarred and feathered you and your partner, slung your carpet-bags around your neck and thrown you out of our community. Your actions over this are nothing short of disgraceful, trying to hide behind a family trust,using your real estate credentials as mentioned above, while acting as a pariah. YOU HAVE GOT A FIGHT ON YOUR HANDS HERE.
